Review: Max Factor Gel Shine Lacquer Nail Polish

I thought I’d do a quick post on the new Gel Shine Lacquer by Max Factor.  This nail polish gives a gel-effect finish in just one coat, which lasts up to 7 days!

My lovely little sister (in law) actually painted them for me, and in all photos it is the end of DAY TWO with only ONE COAT!  The colour we’ve used is #20 Vivid Vermillion, which is a Deep Coral/Red.  It actually seems to look more red in the photos, but I would almost call it an orange.  It’s perfect for the transition from the summer to the autumn/fall shades.

What it says:

“Ramp up your look with intense, high-shine colour and become a true femme fatale.”

What I thought:

Sometimes I think a polish is going to be great, it applies well and looks shiny – but doesn’t last!  This definitely has a lasting finish.  I’m on day 4 here and there is still a high shine from them and very little chipping.  (I would imagine there would be no chips with more coats)

The colour is incredible.  It’s got a rich and thick formula which allows for one coat and it’s completely opaque!

The brush is really thin and allows for easy application.  There’s no streaks or brush marks – and it looked easy enough – haha!  (As I said, I didn’t do it myself)

All in all, I’m pretty impressed with this polish!  I will also probably try some of the other colours too.  (There’s nine altogether)  The one I’m using is the brightest, so there’s some lovely shades that will be appropriate for autumn/winter!

If you try any of the other colours, let me know!

Thanks for reading! x
