Beauty: John Frieda Haircare Haul!

John Frieda

Lately it feels like all I blog about is hair!  But anyway, I’m doing it again and this time it’s my recent haircare purchases!  Pretty much all of the products I use in my haircare routine ran out, or were running out, at the same time!  So, off to Boots I went to see what  was on 3 for 2!  Good old 3 for 2 in Boots, right?  Anyway, the best deal for me was on John Frieda.  I have used Frizz Ease products for over 10 years now, I always found this range to be great.  Most recently it was a serum – but my darling son shoved it behind a radiator a few months ago!  See below!

Anyway a few years back I was using products from the Brilliant Brunette range – which smell DEVINE, by the way – but I don’t tend to buy any of their other products.  When I went to Boots though, I discovered a few new products and I thought that everything I purchased sounded really appropriate for me right now!  Here’s what I got…

Sheer Blonder Purple Shampoo

Ok, so I’m not blonde but there’s blonde in my hair – and I am obsessed with purple shampoo.  My current favourite is definitely Lee Stafford’s Bleach Blondes, but I decided I was going to try something new.

The formula contains Optical Brightening Technology, which absorbs UV light and emits white-blue light, making colour-treated hair appear brighter and salon-fresh.  The product promises results after just 3 uses!  It’s also suitable for all shades of colour-treated or highlighted blonde hair.  I have been using this already and a review will follow!

John Frieda Full Repair Conditioner

As I said in my Lee Stafford HAiR GRowTH TREaTMENT review, my hair has been super dry lately and I really, really needed to do something about it.  I picked this up, and so far I am loving it!!

This is a new product, which is described as being an intense repairing formula, with lightweight Incha Inchi Oil, penetrates deep and repairs the look and feel of overstyled hair.  It reduces the risk of breakage and damaged hair becomes silky and full. Also, and this is important for me, it’s safe for colour and chemically-treated hair!!

John Frieda Full Repair Styling Spray

I really don’t know how effective this product will be in terms of heat protection, as it is advertised more as a styling spray.  It’s never a good sign if it doesn’t specify a heat that it can protect up to, but there was no such product on the John Frieda stand!

Described as their breakthrough styling spray, also with lightweight Inca Inchi Oil, it improves manageability , creates natural movement and long-lasting hold to any style.  Provides heat protection and works with heat-styling tools to create a shiny, versatile style that lasts all day.  Again, safe for colour and chemically-treated hair!

So, those are my purchases – and I have been using them already so reviews will follow!  I love when I start using new hair products, I’m always so excited to see if they actually work!  If you’ve tried any of these products, let me know what you thought!
